Roberto Batres Díaz (08-01-1986; Madrid, España).
Juega en el Atlético de Madrid "B" aunque es asiduo a los entrenamientos con el primer equipo, incluso se encuentra incluido en la lista de la UEFA. En su día acudía frecuentemente a las convocatorias de las selecciones inferiores de España, pero una grave lesión sufrida años atrás le dejó mucho tiempo fuera de los terrenos de juego, pasó de ser uno de los jugadores con más futuro de la cantera atlética a ser un jugador que generaba muchas dudas. Por el rendimiento que está dando actualmente parece estar totalmente recuperado de aquella lesión a la que ya mira muy de lejos, hasta el momento, Batres, es pichichi de toda la 2ª División B con 8 tantos en 9 partidos. Gracias a la labor de Abraham García, míster del "B", este futbolista ha realzado el vuelo; este pasado verano estuvo en un tris de marcharse al Elche de la 2ª División española pero la llegada del técnico hizo que se quedase y hasta el momento la jugada está saliendo redonda. Puede que en la cabeza de Aguirre esté alinearle en el
once titular de este jueves (25-10-2007) contra el Lokomotiv de Moscú, en tierras rusas, ya que tanto Agüero como Forlán están cansados de los viajes con sus respectivas selecciones y debería darlos un respiro, aunque después del rendimiento dado ayer (domingo, 21-10-2007) contra el Zaragoza puede que se lo piense un poco, de todas formas a causa de la lesión de Mista puede que Batres disfrute de unos minutos con la elástica del primer equipo.
El tiempo dirá si Roberto Batres, apodado como "Niño" y "Caballo", está preparado para el primer equipo, mientras tanto, yo, personalmente, le haría un hueco dado el bajo rendimiento de Miguel Ángel Ferrer "Mista".
